1965 V8 Ford Falcon-Mercury Comet New Left Front Spindle Part # 90-397703-1
Direct Replacement For  The Original  Necessary For Conversion From 6 Cylinder To V8 Forged ASTM 5140 Grade Steel OE #C5ZZ-3106-L     These spindles have not been available from Ford for years, and good used ones have become increasingly expensive and difficult to find.  Scott Drake's engineering team started with a set of used, but excellent condition Ford originals and created 3D scans for CAD modeling.  These were then checked against original Ford blueprints ensuring no corners were cut on this critical component.  Once everyone was satisfied, forged ASTM 5140 grade steel was used to make them, with a black e-coating applied for protection and appearance.  They then had the necessary surfaces precision machined taking special care to ensure the tolerances are identical to Ford's.  Finally, for an extra measure of safety and durability the spindle snout was heat-treated via induction hardening.  The end result works just as well as the originals, and looks better due to the e-coating.  We offer these individually for those that need to replace a damaged original, but also have the other side for those that are converting an original 6-cylinder car to V8 standards and need both sides.  No matter your needs, these spindles are the answer to many enthusiasts requests.  Your order for one or both will allow you to properly solve a long-standing problem.
